"We're moving into this world (in which) the technologies that have been devised for the therapies around disabilities have now gotten good enough they're actually moving people (that are) 'below normal capabilities' and giving them abilities (that allow them) to be better than (an average) human."

In this R.U. Serius interview Jamais Cascio talks about Cyborgism, gene-doping, and what it means for a culture when some people can make themselves “better than normal.”

The second half of the program is a discussion of whether “Battle in Seattle"-style protests are useful any longer. Jamais makes the inevitable pitch for participatory-panopticon-style tech as a means of documenting protests and political action

The first part of the interview touched some rather interesting topics.

On the second part though...I was disappointed on the lack of real promotion of peaceful civil disobedience as a strategy for getting attention, media or otherwise.
